However, I cannot cast negative dispersions upon others, as I shot second to last (a 141 to be exact), beating Dom Penzetta by a mere 7 strokes. Well, there's always next year, giving Dom the opportunity for his third consecutive last place title; that's called a three peat, folks.

You may not like to accept transfers, but although I still don't think that pledging is demanding enough, it has improved. It's great to see that you guys are doing so well with the alumni assoc. since at one point there was talk about folding it. Strength in numbers. Speaking of older alumni, how is LEO ? DKE is for life and a serious attempt to remain involved on a national basis, as well as on a chapter basis is great.

Scott held his own shooting straight pool at the New York Athletic Club last night. Before you guys start sharpening your cues, come down to the Yale Club to shoot a few racks. Scott and I have to start practicing for a nine-ball tournament in the fall. One word about Westhampton, it does help to chauffeur Scott out there and he does know quite a few hotties. Ok boys, I am glad you had a great time at the DKE Club. Sorry I missed out, but I was schmoozing my boss and my boss' boss at the yankee game. I have removed all of the brown stuff off of my nose now, and I am sorry I missed a great night at the DKE Club. But alas, I have faith that there will be many many more nights like that in the future. Glad to hear the Actives enjoyed themselves and what they saw. Hopefully you guys will take the good word back to the rest of the actives and get everyone pumped up!!! When I was a pledge the head pledge was invited to the DKE Club by the alumni, and he came back and told us all of this great stuff!!! I think it may be time to revive that Tradition!!! Thanks to Scott MacWhinnie for getting it started. Perhaps we should have some more actives come down towards the end of the semester.

If all goes as planned, the DKE Nu Zeta Actives are scheduled to appear on WABC Channel 7 News with Bill Evans on Thursday 4/29/99 when they present a donation to the North Shore Animal League. The actives will be holding a 'DEKE FOR A DAY' auction tonight (Monday 4/26) in which both DKE's and non-DKE's will be auctioning their services in return for a bid amount. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the North Shore Animal League.
They are scheduled to be on Thursday night at 5:30 from the North Shore Animal League in Long Island, NY.
I'll keep you updated as soon as I find out more information.

I am happy to report that 6 scumni and 5 actives were present at last nights DKE Banquet in NYC and noone got hurt. It was good to finally meet the active brothers, who all acquited themselves very well and hopefully had a good experience. Conspicuously absent was the traitorous Pee Wee who would rather go up to the Bronx to watch Steinbrenner's ho' chasing crackhead play ball than hang with his brothers. Alumni, I apologize for the lack of communication concerning pledge events and other pledge activity. Because we do not have the house on 9A any longer it has become extremely difficult to do the events. Many of the events are done on a last minute basis because it is difficult to coordinate a schedule that can accomadate 30 brothers who play football and lacrosse. The school has become a bureaucratic(spelling?) mess because Dean Harter is adding new positions that do nothing but make it more difficult to get things done. Also, they don't want us using the meeting room any other time except tuesdays. Well, we only have two pledges left after the original eight. Some legitimate excuses and some were just assholes. Tonight we are doing PE(like I said nothing is done in order) and this weekend is their roadtrip and Hell Week starts once they get back. The races might have to be done at Will Greenburg's house to begin intiation. We will head up to Will's house on Thursday night or Friday morining of next week. I will leave directions on how to get to the mountain Will lives on next week. His parents are coming home on Sunday aftrenoon and Will wants us out of there by the morning. We wanted to call his parents and tell them they won a free TV and they have to pick it up in Ohio but I didn't think it was ethical. This shit is getting out of hand!!! First, who the fuck is Gaude, although at least he signs his stupid postings, for saying the DKE club is an elitist organization ? Second, you pukes are supposed to study the composites and T-square, where the hell is the black book that Clint Blume III allowed the chapter to use ? Pee Wee has our e-mails to send us the pledge event schedule so that the pukes can't see it. The only way we can make it up is to know what you are doing. And so, when is hell week ? Muddy, glad to hear all is going well in the windy city. Can you believe these guys ? DKE is the best fraternity in the world. I have gone sailing with some of the best DKEs you will come to meet. The DKE club wants your brotherhood and support. We just made it to the semi-finals of the Metropolitan Billiards Association 8-ball tournament, out of 24 teams. The Friars club, Metropolitan club, University Club and Salmagundi were among the tight competition. This chapter is still VERY young, you need cohesive communication to maintain strong relations with the Alumni association. The financial support of our dues should be appreciated at the very least and don't give me the bullshit of the Alumni having to do shit for you to meet us. We have earned that respect whether meeting you or not.

If you don't know what I do for a living, I am a Police Officer for the City of Hazleton, Pennsylvania. Everyday I deal with domestic disputes between family members be it husband wife, father son or brother brother. These incidents have one thing in common the break down of communication. It's the responsibility of each and everyone of use to keep the bonds alive. Don't just leave it up to the executive boards active or alumni make an effort yourself. It surely can make a difference.
Last week I stopped by Pace and meet up with some of the actives at Lock Stock and Barrel. Its good to know you can go home sometimes where everbody knows you name. Two weeks ago I went to Bloomsburg University where we have a relatively young chapter of DKE and offered them any help I could provide. I didn't have to do such a thing but as a brother in this fraternity I felt it my duty. Lets take care of one another.

Calling people names is never anyway to correct a problem. Perhaps we are a little thinskinned but more embarrassed because of the criticism and rejection recieved in our efforts. Your mother should have taught you if you don't have anthying nice to say don't say it all. These comments are ruining the time and effort Dan has put in to trying to repair the relationship between alumni and actives. We commend Dan for his efforts and leadership. You then called Dan a facist for removing some of the remarks you had posted. Ironically, I believe you to be the facist because of the consistent references of the elitist DKE club. Spending more time with nu zeta in tan shoes may help you to appreciate the black pair you wear to the club. From your computer you have passed judgement. Our motto reads "Friends From the Heart Forever" not "Friends From the Website Forever." Calling names without actually being informed is the type of ignorance that will destroy an organization. Someone mentions respect. I cannot respect someone I do not know. Respect is earned and should have been earned when I was pledging. An alumni needs to be present for this to occur. I am ignorant and not as knowledgable as you in the business world. I do only have one pair of shoes that are a light tan and had to borrow a pair when I started interviewing. I can still tie a tie and shake your hand if this fits your criteria of a gentlemen. I admit we do have problems organization, Greek recognition, and traditions. If the alumni were more ACTIVE maybe we would learn a thing or two and be able to involve all twenty-eight of our members. Dismissing us as ignorant from your computer does not correct the problem and is easier than driving here to help correct it. I must now back and revise this statement the best I can for fear you may see a typo and discontinue reading. I wouldn't want another "atoma" incident.

What king of iliterates do we have as actives these days? I read what appears to be an invitation to both a formal and a kegger. The formal appears to be on 4/10 with a kegger after, then again the kegger could be on 3/6 the date the checks are due for the formal. Fuck, I'm confused! Frankly I have no desire to spend $100 to hang out with a bunch of actives and their skanks. Since they are incapable of composing coherent sentences, I'm assuming they cannot tie a tie and probably do not own a pair of shoes any darker than tan. I will however be happy to jump on a train or into Tilts new SUV for a nominally priced kegger at Lock Stock. Boys, just post a list of events with dates and costs.

I read the posting about the Formal, but I don't get it. Is this an active Spring Formal or is it an Alumni Formal ? if the later, why isn't it posted as an event. If it's the former, you guys should give a little more notice as our CPA brethren are up to their arses in 1040 forms. Why are they having a keg after a formal ? Is pledging still only allowed in the Spring and if so, how is word spread about audience participation ? Fortunately for these pukes, Muddy is out in Chicago. But, I'm sure there are still a few swinging dicks around. As far as the Drake Club is concerned, those idiots in TX didn't do their homework since they should be contacting D. I don't understand why the rag session on the site has become so severe. The alumni assoc. almost crashed 'cause of lack of interest, so e-mail and website was suggested since brothers didn't respond to the mail. For those of you spewing shit, maybe you should have joined TKE (they don't expect anything from you after you graduate). I think the book is pretty sweet, based on the comments from brothers from other chapters. I still can't understand why those of you living or working in the city haven't joined the DKE Club (most of you are probably working toward your CPA and are making at least $45K). Slamming Bags is about as challenging kicking a cripple, yet it still seems to be worthwhile. Lastly, did I miss something in the guidelines about signing what you wrote ?

Many scumni, previously thought to be MIA, made appearances at the DKE Club of NYC annual banquet last Wed 4/15/98. To paraphrase a noted Presidential spokesperson, drag a ticket for free food and booze through Manhattan and you never know who will turn up. All in all a good showing for Nu-Zeta.
The evening began with cocktails, followed by a fine banquet, accompanied by cigars and speeches decrying the anti fraternity policies and tactics of certain college administrations.
The brothers of Nu-Zeta then retired to the grill room for pool and pithers. In customary Nu-Zeta fashion we proceeded to create an atmosphere intolerable to other members and their guests and soon had all the tables, as well as the big screen, to ourselves.
I won't name names here as the events of that evening are still under investigation, but lets make it a longer list next time. That means you too, actives. Borrow your fathers jacket and tie and show some unity.
