Dear Deke Brother,

As a brother of DKE Nu Zeta, you know the value of a great brotherhood.

When we often meet with alumni, they share the warm memories of their Nu Zeta years. We are proud of Nu Zeta’s history, one that has lasted for almost twenty years.

We now write to you as our Nu Zeta chapter faces some challenging times.

Over this past year, our expenses for running the alumni association have doubled. This increase results from a mandate by National that requires all alumni organizations to each shell out $2,500.00 per year for insurance coverage.

In prior years, we were able to collect enough dues to cover the costs of running the alumni association. However, with the changes imposed on us this year, we face two great challenges. They are:

1.       Continue to effectively manage our alumni association, and

2.       Meet the terms of this new insurance obligation.

We are not the only ones facing difficult times. This year, the actives are in danger of losing their charter due to their own money issues with national. We would like to help them as much as possible. We’re sure that no one would like to see DKE Nu Zeta lose its charter.

For this reason, we are announcing an appeal to support the alumni association through these difficult times. Please consider making a special donation, of any amount you wish, to help the DKE Nu Zeta Alumni Association.
